Little Piggy Burger

This is such a simple recipe from the Paleo Cooking Live segment on June 17. The photo has the burger on a bun, but a couple of romaine lettuce leaves can easily replace the bun to make it paleo. (It was Father’s Day after all.)

Little Piggy Burger

Ingredients

  • To yield 4 burgers: (approximately 6 ounces each)
  • 1 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 4 ounces chorizo sausage
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Combine the meats and mix with hands until blended completely, taking care to not over mix. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Shape into patties to grill..
  3. Grill on preheated grill to desired doneness, about 4 to 6 minutes each side.
  4. Allow to rest a few minutes before serving.
  5. Top with Maple Walnut Bacon and serve with burger accompaniments to your liking.
