Maple Walnut Bacon
This is the topping for the Three Piggies Burger. (It’s the third piggy!) but you can use this for almost anything! It’s naturally sweet from the maple syrup and not sugary like the version with brown sugar. Serve it as a BLT on lettuce wrap or as a side for brunch, options are endless for this sweet, crunchy, yummy bacon.

Ingredients
- Uncured, no-sugar bacon, 2 slices per serving
- For each slice of bacon:
- 1 Tablespoon organic maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon crushed walnuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350º.
- On a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, arrange the bacon slices on the pan.
- Drizzle each slice with the maple syrup and spread with a pastry brush to coat.
- Top the bacon slices with the crushed walnuts, pressing slightly into the syrup to adhere.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until bacon is firm but not crispy. It will firm up as it cools but remains tender.
- Serve as burger topping or as desired.
