delish & nutrish recipes
but first, a little chef chat
If you’re considering increasing your nutrition through food, reducing inflammation, or just a healthy, delish and nutrish recipe or two, you’ve come to the right place! Most of these recipes can be made in about 30 minutes, faster than it takes for delivery to show up, and less expensive!
“Don’t remember ingredients, remember techniques.” Is something a chef I worked for used to say. So be sure to carefully follow the Methods for each recipe. Anyone can read a list of ingredients. Assembling them properly is the key to great results!
If you want to substitute flavors, say you like basil better than oregano, or you’re out of thyme (pun intended), go for it!
Some of my favorite tools are a scale, portion scoops, and one or two sharp knives. Try these links for some of my favorite things.
I give you measurements for all of the recipes and occasionally drop in the weights for accuracy. (pounds or ounces).
Finally, please feel free to leave comments on each recipe you try, and be sure to share and tag me on social media! I answer each and every question, and I love your feedback!

Lobster Lettuce Cups
Just like the lobster rolls from Cape Cod, for which I can have a sudden craving, this recipe has been re-imagined using paleo ingredients.
Asian Fusion Barbecue Sauce
A long time ago when I still watched the Food Network, (I unfortunately don’t have so much time these days) I saw Bobby Flay make this barbecue sauce recipe.
Asian Twist Cole Slaw
I just love coleslaw. Crunchy, creamy and full of good stuff! You can serve it as a side (especially nice with spicy barbecue) or as a topping or base for other dishes. Who needs grain when a bowl of yummy coleslaw is so much more delicious? So good with bacon wrapped hot dogs too.
Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs
This is next-level street food you can make at home, and with Whole30 ingredients, it feels a little indulgent. Great for parties and tailgating too.
“Cheese”burger Casserole
I love this recipe! It’s a crowd pleaser. Great for Super Bowl parties too! If you’re attending a gathering you can take this as your potluck dish contribution. No one knows it’s Paleo/Whole30 (sneaky!).
Bison Marinara Bowls
The chili topping is delicious on it’s own, but if you use the quick-cook method for the spaghetti squash, dinner is on the table in 30 minutes.
Champagne Fig Vinaigrette
This looks a bit complicated but it’s rather simple. If you don’t have an immersion blender it can easily be done in a conventional blender. Store refrigerated in a jar, it keeps for weeks. Delicious on salads, roasted vegetables and grilled meats, but I love it most on Brussels sprouts.
TexMex Spice Mix
This is a great seasoning mix to keep in the pantry for anything you want to have that TexMex flavor.
Egg Roll in a Bowl
This is simple and delicious, and it’s a bowl! And you won’t believe it isn’t Chinese takeout!
Dreamy Creamy (Dairy Free) Clam Chowder
This dairy-free Whole30 Compliant chowder will transport you to Cape Cod with the first spoonful.
Weekend Breakfast Casserole
Use up week-long leftover veggies in this casserole. Double the recipe, make it on Saturday and have some slices leftover to re-heat and eat during the week. I love to make this casserole when I have out of town guests, a weekend event, or just for family.
Green Eggs & Ham
These devilish eggs get their green-tinge from fresh avocado in the filling, and are finished with crumbled bacon
Warm Broccoli Salad
Using prepared items already in the fridge, you can easily pull together a simple side dish that is elevated from a basic steamed vegetable. Takes very little time if you already have the pickled onions. So, make those too, and keep them on hand!
Tzatziki with Plant-Based Yogurt
Don’t only use it on Gyros, it’s delicious on almost anything, or stir it into you cauliflower rice for a creamy finish
Greek Roast Lamb and Lemon Potatoes
This adaptation of my mom’s oven roasted lamb is made in the slow cooker and yields a moist and luscious result.
Slow-Cooker Ribs
When I tell you this no-recipe recipe is life changing, I’m not kidding. Some days, you just can't deal with the long process of roasting ribs in the oven, then saucing and grilling them to perfection. That’s always been my method for ribs. Until my genius husband decided, on a chill, lazy day, to try them in the slow cooker. You tell me if this isn’t amazing.
WonTonLess Meatballs
These are WonTon (less) because they taste just like the wonton filling, but they don't need wrapper to be delish and nutrish!
Sweet Potato “Toast”
This is a simple no-recipe recipe. I prefer to use Hanna sweet potatoes or garnet sweet potatoes (dark red/purple on the outside, white on the inside) as they hold their shape better once cooked.
